Embarking on a technical odyssey in 1977 as a teenager, my journey through the world of technology began with constructing a computer from scratch. This early passion led me through military service in the signal corps, granting me access to advanced equipment, and to my first encounter with the Internet in 1982 via an acoustic coupler. By 1983, I was working as a computer operator for a bank, delving into the realms of modern computing and programming, and by the end of that year, I began importing the first Mac and IBM PCs into South Africa. This venture marked the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey, advising companies on digitizing their accounting systems.

My global travels from 1986 onward saw me living in 14 countries, where I established businesses, consulted, and helped firms transition to the Internet, even setting up the first Internet Café in Geneva in 1994. My career took a turn towards online commerce and affiliate marketing, particularly during the Dot Com boom and bust in the United States, before returning to South Africa in 2003 to build a successful Managed Services Provider.

After a sabbatical, I returned with renewed vigor, leveraging over 40 years of experience to specialize as an ICT Strategist. My expertise spans the entire ICT lifecycle, from code analysis to complex networking and security. Hands-on in managing my servers and websites, I possess the unique ability to converse technically with developers and strategically in boardrooms. My goal is to guide senior management toward efficient, effective, and economical ICT strategies, enhancing ICT infrastructures and converting expenses into profitable ventures.
